Chet Kingery Memorial Bluegrass Festival – September 1, 2018
Squiggle-Line

The 6th annual Chet Kingery Memorial Bluegrass Festival, hosted by Mackville Bluegrass, will return to The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur, IL on Saturday, September 1, 2018.  Bands will be picking from noon to 10:00pm.

The festival line-up features IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year nominee and most-awarded winner, Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out, as well as the 2016 IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass.  Back by popular demand, The Harmans will perform once again this year. Rounding out the schedule are Cornfields and Crossroads from Indianapolis and host band and local favorite, Mackville.  Each band will perform twice, once in the afternoon and once in the evening.

Catch a glimpse of The Great Pumpkin Patch just before its season opening, while listening to the rootsy sounds of Bluegrass.  Instrumental workshops, vendors and food will all be available. Bring your own lawn chairs or nestle in at a picnic table under the shaded canopy of trees, while experiencing story-telling music through blissful harmonies and acoustic accompaniment that evokes the ideal Bluegrass spirit.

Tickets for the event are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate.  Children 16 and under are free with a paying adult.  Tickets can be purchased online here, at The Homestead Bakery in Arthur or by calling 217-460-1439.  Gates open at 10 am.
